LoGOz - The Roxbury - 26/07/140- Review.

After a frustrating day and fruitless search of our missing pet cat 'Slash' it was time to get back in the LoGOzone for our gig at The Roxbury in Blyth.
We werent due onstage til 10pm so with soundcheck at 8.30 it gave us plenty of time to get our gear together and our twin fuzz guitar assault nailed!
Just as soundcheck finished the venue was starting to fill up champion! Good to see new faces as well as some familiar ones, including Tony Houghton from Collision! Never one to miss a photo opportunity, we posed for a few shots as punk rock stories and experiences were shared over a beer or two. Actually Collision are playing The Roxbury on Saturday August 9th so if you wanna hear some Punk rock classics by the Sex Pistols, Sham 69  & Stiff Little Fingers etc go check 'em out! They still dont care!
We hit the stage around 10.15 as a healthy crowd gathered down the front! Cool to see people singing along enthusiastically to our songs as we blasted through a full on 40 minute set! lt was a great atmosphere in there on a hot and sticky Saturday nite with arm sweats aplenty!
Massive thanks to everyone who came down to see us and made a noise. Big up to Vince Race for promoting this night and not forgetting As Wicked for a cracking set of Rancid covers!
Another successful night for LoGOz and with lots of cool events happening in the coming months including work on our first official video, its exciting times man! Watch this space!

LoGOz - The Doll @ The Black Bull 12/07/14

A bit of heavy traffic meant we got to the Doll at The Black Bull around 7.45, later than planned, but alas headline band punk veterans Abrasive Wheels were just finishing off their soundcheck before tucking into their gourmet rider of pizza, chips and kebabs!
Then it was second band Thee Overdose from Cumbria to soundcheck just after 8pm. We were getting a tad worried for the time situation as we realised we were now first band on at 8.20pm! But hey being the true pros that we are, we plugged in, turned up and blasted a quick 30 second line check and we were ready to rock! We kicked off with Jubileezer for a change just as the Doll started to fill up nicely! It was great to see a few familiar faces in the crowd as well as some new ones who were appreciative of our punk pop power assault! As the night had kicked off a bit later than planned we unfortunately had to shave our set 2 songs short at the end! So dissapointingly we didnt get to play Hello Lonely or Joie de Vivre! But we still finished the set with a rousing Mexicola. Again the merchandise continued to sell well to new folk and friends joining our LoGOz bandwagon as we chatted and mingled amongst the energetic punk crowd well into the night. Big thanks to the bands Thee Overdose and Abrasive Wheels for making it another cracking night at The Doll. And a big up to main man Shev as ever.

LoGOz - Roxbury & Bubbles Reviews 5th & 6th of July 2014

Saturday afternoon saw us back at The Roxbury in Blyth for an acoustic slot at 4.20pm.  Some afternoon busy traffic meant we got to the venue around 4.15pm much to the relief of Pete 'Acoustic' Shaw our genial host for the day. So we were pretty much plugged in and ready to roll within minutes of getting there. Just how we like it. Perched on our Val Doonican stools me and Paul breezed through a good 25 minute set including a cover of Sex Pistols 'Pretty Vacant'. A great reception and banter was our reward for a good afternoons work. We also stuck around for a few tunes from Pete Shaw himself and a great set from My Cold Poison AKA Rob Lowdon from Sorry For Nothing. Cheers to all who came along and to Vince for asking us to play.

On to Sunday and we were back at Bubbles in Ashington in the middle of a punk rock sandwich between The Band for Disease Control and Prevention & Hooligan from Dublin, Ireland. TBFDCP kicked off the night with their quirky new wave modern sound in what was their first Live gig. Nice. We hit the stage around 9pm and blasted through a cracking 40 minute set and went down a storm with friends and fans old and new. Merchandise continued to sell well afterwards so we couldnt have asked for more It was really hot up there and we sweated buckets, it was all worth it. Top gig. Thanks to Bran from Bubbles for a great job on our sound.
Hooligan finished the night off with their short sharp uptempo punk tuneage and even a guest backing vocal spot by Mr Newman himself. A great night had by all yet again. Thanks also to Keith for putting this night on and asking us to play. And of course to everyone who came to support us and made a noise, much appreciated.

LoGOz - Ashington Fayre Review 29/06/14

Sunday afternoon June 29th saw us for the second year running playing our hometown Ashington Fayre Day. Unlike last year though the weather was trying its best to dampen our spirits with some annoying showers that kept putting a spanner in the works for the Live stage on Station Road. After a slight time delay due to the rain we hit the stage around 2.30pm as a busy crowd had gathered at the front of the stage. Nice.
After watching Glastonbury highlights the previous evening including a cracking set by Metallica we were ready for our very own alternative Festival. Hello Glashingtonbury!!!
We blasted through a 40 minute set much to the joy of our friends, family and fans, and to the bemusement of passers by. The sound can often be a tricky customer onstage for outdoor gigs, but judging by the great reception we got during and after the gig, we definitely pulled it off.
The wind picked up a few times during our set and blew the rain from the canopy onto our Guitar amps a few times soaking them in the process.  But fortunately no onstage electrocutions this time!
All in all a great gig again for us and a big thanks to everyone who came down to make a noise with us.
Also thanks to Mike Slaughter for making this happen for us.
Cheers
