AcoustiCalendar Song #4 OPERATiON CHAOS + LoGOz Gigs next week!!!

Its week 4 out of 52 on my AcoustiCalendar 2015 project, so that means its time for Song number 4. This comes in the shape of OPERATiON CHAOS. As Clemmy Scotswood knows too well, this song is very apt for the kind of day we've had behind the scenes in LoGOz world today haha but its all good, believe me :) The song itself is a 2 minute Anarcoustic attack on the paranoid panic of ups and downs on this punk rockin' rollercoaster we all find ourselves on!!! The title was part of a smart piece of graffiti l saw recently and just thought it fitted perfectly :) As ever you can download this track at www.logozworld.com/52 and will only be available until the following Monday! So please share this with all your friends, enemies, families and grannies and spread the lurv lads and lasses, its all FREE remember :)

LoGOz Live in Jarrow review - AcoustiCalendar Song #3 - CHiLLi VANiLLA

It was another bitterly cold night as we made our way to The Golden Lion in Jarrow for our first gig of 2015. Luckily we had played our intimate unplugged set at this place at the start of November so we quickly found our bearings, and with it not being a kick of the arse away from the Tyne Tunnel we made it in good time! As well as this being LoGOz first gig of the year it was also the first outing of my band P.A. So this was always gonna be an interesting night! We quickly set up and soundchecked without any real hiccups, so this was gonna be plain sailing right ;)
First band on were Black Bloc. With their mix and mash of classic covers from Sex Pistols, Anti Nowhere League & Stiff Little Fingers, to a few impressive in yer face originals, the spunky younguns kicked things off nicely! Next up were seasoned local Punksters Diablo 66 who blasted through a cracking set of aggressive 100 miles an hour Oi-thems! We were more than ready to tear The Golden Lion a new arsehole as we blasted straight into LONG TIME DEAD. Even my bastard sore throat wasn’t going to take the shine off our first gig of the year, as we pushed my P.A to the limit! Excitement got the better of me as my aggressive playing style meant l snapped my D string mid-set! Thanks to Jordan from Black Bloc who tuned up my spare guitar in the meantime! Little did l know my spare guitar with not being played for so long had taken a huff with me and decided to squeal and crackle between songs much to my annoyance! This nuisance didn’t spoil momentum for the band though as we rocked as tight as ever, but it was niggling me like hell! As we tore through PRETTY VACANT, Jordan and a bare chested John from Black Bloc had joined us onstage for backing vocals, as they grappled, fought, pogo'd  and lost themselves in the moment the mad bastards! At the end of our set the interfering uninvited guitar noise had got under my skin so my long suffering guitar took a battering up and over the top of my Marshall amp. That was it. Or was it? The crowd wanted more! Who were we to argue! We got back up and played ALIENATION, KARMAGEDDON and a second helping of MEXICOLA as we ran the risk of over running, but by now we just didn’t care! A brilliantly frustrating bewildering yet rewarding gig of a night! This one will last long in my memory for many different reasons, and even just now thinking about it makes me smile. Maybe you just had to be there :) Thanks to the bands for 2 great sets, Iain Bartlett for part organising this and asking us to play, Carlos for nicking my slice of pizza, and of course to everyone who came to see us :)

So onto my new AcoustiCalendar Song #3 CHiLLi VANiLLA. This is a bitter sweet laid back ditty about the frustration of the reality TV Talent shows etc we all love to hate and hate to love, and are now an expected platform for many an overnight success that we all just swallow up! Yum yum :P Enjoy. You can download this track for FREE at www.logozworld.com/52 As ever this song will only be available for 7 days until the next track is uploaded :)

LoGOz - Koast Radio Live Session & First Gig of 2015

Tuesday January 13th saw LoGOz first full band action of 2015 as we made our way to the spanking new premises of our good friends at Koast Radio. It was a bitterly cold evening as we got to the studio to soundcheck at 7pm, and there was even a hint of snow in the air! Our cold bollocks and freezing mits were greeted with warm handshakes by DJ Nick Newcombe as we ventured into new territory by setting up as a full Live band session for our slot on the brilliantly popular 'Kickin' out the Jams' Show. As we werent going Live til 8pm we managed to crowbar a healthy soundcheck in pretty close proximity :)
Once the show went Live there was the usual great banter, crack and tunes with Nick who knows how to get the best out of the boys! We played 4 Live tracks NO WIN SITUATION, LONG TIME DEAD, DEAD OR LIVING IN AMERICA & MEXICOLA. The more we played the better it was, and the sound progressed with us as NN mixed our levels with aplomb and Clemmy guided the guitars North via sattelite ;) All in all a great night and a top way to start our 2015. Thanks again to Nick and everyone at Koast Radio.
So onto our first Live gig of 2015. This will be on Friday January 16th at The Golden Lion in Jarrow. Support will come from Black Bloc and Diablo 66. It would be great to see some of your familiar faces across the water making a noise with the boys. Doors open at 7pm and its FREE Entry so haway lads and lasses bring a marra doon to Jarrow and lets have a crackin' night of pure punk rock n' roll :)
Oh and dont forget you can still download my New AcoustiCalendar Song #2 OLD PUNKS NEVER DiE for FREE at www.logozworld.com/52 This will be available until Monday 19th January just before the next brand new song is uploaded. More news coming on that very soon.

AcoustiCalendar NEW Song #2 - OLD PUNKS NEVER DiE

Hey everyone!
Heres the second new song of my AcoustiCalendar 2015 project. Its called OLD PUNKS NEVER DiE. Its pretty self explanatory and does what it says on the tin :) It was inspired by a lad I used to work with years ago, who lets say, was born a few years before I was ;) who was always so enthusiastic about Punk music when we used to crack on. Even now if I bump into him he starts talking about The Sex Pistols and The Clash etc and always signs off by saying "Old punks never die".
Of course LoGOz have been lucky enough to play with legendary bands such as The Vibrators, Sham 69 and The Cockney Rejects recently and in February coming up with The Lurkers. Its great that these bands are still going strong from the 1970's and still have the passion, and to be writing and releasing great songs today! Also playing with these bands we get to see the different generations in the crowds, and that a lot of them have grown up with these bands, and I salute that in this song. Hope you enjoy it. This song will only be available for download from today Monday January 12th until the 19th when the next track goes up. Although if anyone misses any of these songs then do get in touch via LoGOz website or contact me on twitter @PeeshNE63

AcoustiCalendar 2015 - 52 Weeks - 52 Songs

...Another year over...and a new one just begun :) So here we are in 2015. Happy New Year to one and all. Hope everyone had a great Festive season. Me, as much as I enjoy Christmas etc., I'm always pleased to get back down to business. And that to me means making music!!! So for this year I'm setting myself a challenge. To deliver a new solo acoustic song here on my Blog every single week of 2015. Thats 52 songs in erm.....52 weeks! No covers, no LoGOz songs, no previous band songs, all new solo exclusive acoustic tracks! Why you might ask? Why not? is my standard reply! Some of these may not be what you might be expecting, whatever that might be haha! Some will be fun, melancholic, tongue in cheek, soul searching, you name it, its probably all going to be in there! With 52 songs spread over the year theres gonna be some varying subject matter! This will not interfere with LoGOz plans for PSYCHO RADIO New repackage release or any gigs etc. Its just a self indulgent little side project to run along side the band. These songs will be available for download for one week only until the next one is released. So bascially take them or leave them boys and girls :) It would be cool to hear some feedback on these songs! So first up is a brand new track written especially to kick start this project, called 'New Years Revolution'. Enjoy.
