LoGOz - Flying Horse - Review 16/08/14.

As the Premier League football season kicked off in style that aftenoon, all thoughts of overpaid primadonnas were put to one side as we headed into the unknown territory of The Flying Horse in Blyth.
We were greeted by friendly if somewhat refreshed locals as we also spied a bizarrely spelt LOGOX advert inside the establishment! This was gona be an interesting night! But with the sound being supplied by Mr Tony Eastlake we knew we had no worries on that score! With the soundcheck nailed and easy on the ears we mingled with the crowd that was now gathering inside.
We hit the stage around 9.10pm and kicked off with the very first intro song we ever played Live 'Intergalactic Girl'. After that we ripped through the full PSYCHO RADIO album to a thunderous reception, as Cliff Richard gags were kept to a minimum. With this being a 2 set gig, we broke it up in the middle with a short break as jackets were slung, sweat was wiped and more drinks were ordered.
With a good natured rowdy bustling crowd ready for the second set, we tore the place a new arsehole by launching straight into 'Long Time Dead'. The night just got better and was great to see so many people singing along to the songs. We even threw in new song 'Disgraceland' which went down a storm! We closed the set with 'Joie de Vivre' and with minutes still left to play with, it was request time by demand of our punk rock gathering. We were only too happy to serve up a second helping of 'Dead or Living in America' 'Hello Lonely' 'Joie de Vivre' & 'Mexicola' as a raucous sing a long pogo ago-go erupted down the front! All in all personally one of my favourite gigs l've ever played! Big thanks to everyone at The Flying Horse, Tony Eastlake and all who came down packing the place out and making a noise with us! 3 points for LoGOz on the opening day of the new season after a successful away win has us sitting at the top of our very own Punk Rock Premier League!!! Its early days, but the signs are all there.

LoGOz - Willow Tree Review & Flying Horse Blyth this Saturday.

A monsoon-esque downpour greeted us as we made our way into Newsham Blyth on Friday night for our gig at The Willow Tree. We had good memories of the last time we played there in November 2012 in what was Carlos' second gig with us.
Tonight we were headlining with 2 other bands opening up. Kicking off the night was Black Bloc who we had personally got on the bill at the last minute. In their no nonsense punk rock assault they mixed a few original tracks with some classic covers including Alternative Ulster by Stiff Little Fingers and a brilliant version of So What by Anti Nowhere League, with no censorship or compromise with the uber offensive lyrical content :) Next up was High Tide from Spennymoor. Again blending a few original songs with a diversity of covers by acts such The Coral, Biffy Clyro and Chuck Berry.
This was firing us up nicely as a good crowd had built up and before we knew it, it was 10.10pm and our time now to wake up the natives with our own brand of punk rock melodica. And indeed we did. It was a great spirited almost boisterous atmosphere, but all good natured, as we went down a storm. Smiling sweaty faces roaring their approval of each track as we rifled through a slick 40 minute set. Again another successful nights work for the boys and because of this, leads me onto our next gig...
This Saturday August 16th we will be playing at The Flying Horse in Blyth. This will be a double setter. So we're gonna be playing 20 songs in 2 seperate 40 minute sets. We will also be debuting a brand new song DISGRACELAND and we cant wait for you all to get ya lugs around this one :) We will be punking it up at 9pm, so celebrate the new Premier League Football season kick off by getting yourselves along to the Flying Horse this Saturday. Its FREE Entry too :)
Celebrate your own decay!!!

LoGOz - The Roxbury - 26/07/140- Review.

After a frustrating day and fruitless search of our missing pet cat 'Slash' it was time to get back in the LoGOzone for our gig at The Roxbury in Blyth.
We werent due onstage til 10pm so with soundcheck at 8.30 it gave us plenty of time to get our gear together and our twin fuzz guitar assault nailed!
Just as soundcheck finished the venue was starting to fill up champion! Good to see new faces as well as some familiar ones, including Tony Houghton from Collision! Never one to miss a photo opportunity, we posed for a few shots as punk rock stories and experiences were shared over a beer or two. Actually Collision are playing The Roxbury on Saturday August 9th so if you wanna hear some Punk rock classics by the Sex Pistols, Sham 69  & Stiff Little Fingers etc go check 'em out! They still dont care!
We hit the stage around 10.15 as a healthy crowd gathered down the front! Cool to see people singing along enthusiastically to our songs as we blasted through a full on 40 minute set! lt was a great atmosphere in there on a hot and sticky Saturday nite with arm sweats aplenty!
Massive thanks to everyone who came down to see us and made a noise. Big up to Vince Race for promoting this night and not forgetting As Wicked for a cracking set of Rancid covers!
Another successful night for LoGOz and with lots of cool events happening in the coming months including work on our first official video, its exciting times man! Watch this space!

LoGOz - The Doll @ The Black Bull 12/07/14

A bit of heavy traffic meant we got to the Doll at The Black Bull around 7.45, later than planned, but alas headline band punk veterans Abrasive Wheels were just finishing off their soundcheck before tucking into their gourmet rider of pizza, chips and kebabs!
Then it was second band Thee Overdose from Cumbria to soundcheck just after 8pm. We were getting a tad worried for the time situation as we realised we were now first band on at 8.20pm! But hey being the true pros that we are, we plugged in, turned up and blasted a quick 30 second line check and we were ready to rock! We kicked off with Jubileezer for a change just as the Doll started to fill up nicely! It was great to see a few familiar faces in the crowd as well as some new ones who were appreciative of our punk pop power assault! As the night had kicked off a bit later than planned we unfortunately had to shave our set 2 songs short at the end! So dissapointingly we didnt get to play Hello Lonely or Joie de Vivre! But we still finished the set with a rousing Mexicola. Again the merchandise continued to sell well to new folk and friends joining our LoGOz bandwagon as we chatted and mingled amongst the energetic punk crowd well into the night. Big thanks to the bands Thee Overdose and Abrasive Wheels for making it another cracking night at The Doll. And a big up to main man Shev as ever.
