Koast Radio Live AcoustiCalendar Debut 03/03/15

Well here l was back at Koast Radio Studios on Kick Out The Jams for the second time in 2015. But this time with a difference as it would be my first Live Solo performance, and to be fair I was shaking like a shitting dog! But hey, thats a good thing, you cant whack a bit of brown adrenalin to hype you up and get the blood pumping! With LoGOz Manager Clemmy as my trusty sidekick, armed with the essential equipment to document the nights proceedings audio and visually.

We were greeted by the warmest handshakes and welcoming by Mr Nick Newcombe occasional Smartie and vinyl enthusiast.

The plan was for me to perform 4 of my AcoustiCalendar tracks throughout his 2 hour show from 8 til 10pm. It was early doors when we had our first online banter and Nick couldn't wait to hear the story of Carl's unexpected departure from the band! As its already been said, no bad feelings, its just one of those things and we wish him well :) So it was time for my Live radio Acoustic debut as l blasted into OPERATiON CHAOS. It felt good yet very different not to have Paul grinning and harmonising alongside me. A great start to the show and we were rolling :)

A few more tunes later and I was back on again this time after a brief chat with the laid back reflective melancholic BURN BRIGHT. It was going great and l was growing in confidence. Nick always does a great job with top banter and as DJ spinning some top tracks from his eclectic collection, including The Stranglers, All Out Attack, Buzzcocks, the Middens, Public Image Ltd and erm... LoGOz :)

Two tunes to go, and after a good crack about the idea behind AcoustiCalendar 2015 project, l played OLD PUNKS NEVER DiE, which l actually added a new outro to especially for the Show! The night was flying by and before we knew it, it was time for my last track, This was going to be this weeks brand new Song #9 THE DEATH OF THE 7" SiNGLE. This was only written on Sunday, recorded on Monday, and now played Live on air on Tuesday haha so I was over the moon to deliver a spot on version of this baby  :) All in all a great personal experience which will now open the door to more solo Radio performances and Gigs in the very near future. Just to add, that doesnt mean that LoGOz will be taking a backseat, no no no...watch this space :) Big thanks as always to Nick Newcombe and everyone at Koast Radio.
