Always good to go back to old stomping grounds, so in this
case, The Conchie in Ashington. This was the scene of LoGOz second ever gig way
back in August 2012. We were sharing the stage with Mark Evans latest Judas
Priest tribute METAL GODS for a one off local Festive bash! We rolled up to the
venue at 7:15 pm in plenty of time to get soundchecked nice and loud, then to
mingle with the incoming crowd of friends and family etc. Good to see some of
my ex Blisters bandmates Neil & Dunny there too with their good ladies,
showing their support. Also, LoGOz first ever drummer Harry who was singing
along and playing air drums at every opportunity! Good lad :)
We hit the stage just after 9pm with a tongue in cheeky
sneaky Happy Christmas intro, then we blasted into LONG TIME DEAD and kept the
pace up with another tight performance in front of our home crowd. Great to
play to my Son Kieran who was given special permission to attend and he loved
it! Nodding along to every beat complete with his Ramones tee shirt and Sex
Pistols badge he looked every part the budding Dee Dee he aspires to be – haha,
thats my boy! I had to be on my best behaviour of course although a few slips
of the tongue led to a bit of trouble with my Ps & Qs, never mind my Fs
& Cs ;) We even threw in PRETTY VACANT for good measure before finishing
off with MEXICOLA and left the stage to the cries of ''MORE'' ringing in our
ears :)
It was METAL GODS turn next as wor Mark got to live the
dream of being Priest frontman for the night as they delivered a solid rockin'
set climaxing with metal classics YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMING and LIVING
AFTER MIDNIGHT. Another successful night for everyone yet again and huge thanks
again to Mr Evans & co and of course everyone who came down to make a noise
with us :)
