Friday night saw us heading back to Alnwick in the familiar shape of Lionheart Radio studios for a return to Mr Chaz Ellis' Schools Out Show. We last appeared on his show in September where we played a few LoGOz acoustic tracks. But this time we were entering new territory with a full Live band session...can we pull it off? Strictly speaking the studio is not designed for full Live band performances, so we were well up for the sonic challenging experience! Carlos had his drums set up just outside the Live control room as Paul and myself had our Guitar stacks side by side next door. So this really was quite tricky to get a good sound balance as Carlos literally could only hear himself, and I only had my natural voice as a vocal guide. But hey this is punk rock boys and girls, even if the rest of the show was quite the opposite. I'm sure some of the regular listeners were choking on their horlicks as we tore into NO WIN SITUATION, MEXICOLA and an embryonic HAPPY XMAS (War is Over) and we had no idea how it sounded on the airwaves! But from where we were standing it sounded great!!!
We had a few brief interview chats with Chaz as we chewed the fat over our re-release and repacking of PSYCHO RADIO in 2015, our recent support slots with The DOLLYROTS, SHAM 69 and The COCKNEY REJECTS, as well as Royal Mail and Christmas dinners! All in all a great experience and something we look forward to doing again very soon. Thanks again to Chaz Ellis and everyone at Lionheart.
