Hey lads and lasses, just to let you know my NEW 12:OTHERS Track #3 is now released and available for FREE Download as of today March 31st. This months offering is none other than 'Olivers Army' by Elvis Costello. The song was a huge hit in 1979 and was always one of my radio favourites growing up as a kid. Mr Costello himself wrote the song after a trip to Belfast in 1978 at the height of the 'Troubles' and was shocked at the sight of mere young boys in battle dress loaded with automatic weapons! The track has also been covered by Blur, Belle & Sebastian and Cannon & Ball!! Rock on Tommy indeed!! The video was also played on the very first broadcasting day on MTV in America on August 1st 1981. Anyway, that's enough trivia for now! I hope you enjoy my punked up version of this classic tune. I'm also pleased to say LoGOz return to Live action with a gig at The Three Tuns in Gateshead tomorrow night Friday April 1st. This will be supporting local punk heroes LOADED 44. This is gonna be a cracking punk rockin' rolling night so get down there in good time folks! Doors open 8pm. You'd be a fool to miss this one!!!
Then on Sunday I'm playing a solo acoustic set at the famous Surf Cafe in Tynemouth. This place has recently been voted the best independent music venue in the North East so I'm really looking forward to making my Live debut there on Sunday for some stripped back cappuccino punkoustic vibes! This is Free Entry and I'll be onstage 7pm.
