BANK HOLIDAY REVIEW

Well its been a cracking weekend on planet LoGOz. We kicked off our Bank Holiday with a charity gig making our debut in Whitley Bay at The Seahorse. As ever with charity gigs it was a mixed crowd of all ages. We blasted through an 11 song set to a very receptive appreciative crowd. Big thanks to Mark Evans for a great sound. It was great to be back playin Live again, as our last gig although just 2 weeks ago seemed an age away! Job done.
So onto Sunday and to our first outdoor LoGOz acoustic gig. Paul and me were due onstage 3pm so headed into Bents Park Food Festival in South Shields just after 2.30pm assuming we were in the right place! Any doubts were soon quashed with the lush smell of burgers, spices, chicken etc and once we spied the acoustic stage we knew we were in the right place!
We hit the stage just after 3pm much to the bemusement of the large crowd who were wondering who these friendly punkcoustic chaps were gatecrashing their festival! Even after the first song l had a slight feeling of  an anonymous Alan Partridge at the Norwich fruit and vegetable fete. Nice plums! But by 3rd song Dead Or Living in America we had the crowd on our side and our new young fan club singing along down the front. We also threw in a cover of The Sex Pistols classic Pretty Vacant before finishing the 20 minute 7 song set with Mexicola.
It was one of those magic gigs, playing to 100s of people of all ages and everyone was in it together! There was some great banter and we went down a storm. After the gig we stayed behind signing CDs and photographs for our new friends and fans. A great afternoon had by all. Big thanks to Tony Eastlake and the people of South Shields for making it happen.
